ARCHEOLOGY IN GREECE

There are, of course, a number of sites to be visited, but not all of them are guarded or monitored as closely as they should be, if at all. Take, for example, the magnificent Roman theater on the island of Milos. Authorities have left it up to visitors to behave themselves and be respectful of the monument. Respect the sites and don't take anything with you "as a souvenir for the living room coffee table". That's why 10% of Greek national heritage has already disappeared.
